Gregory Maguire

I also recommend twisted fairytales by Gregory Maguire. Most people don't know it, but he also wrote a children's book called What the Dickens. That one is a tale based on the popular children's legend of the tooth fairy. I recommend all of his books, but of course, his most famous novel is Wicked.
